Luças Ventresca in Olive Oil
Luças has been producing conservas in Matosinhos, Portugal since 1896. The cannery remains family-owned and is known for traditional methods, including hand-preparation and careful packing of premium seafood.
Ventresca is the prized belly portion of the tuna, valued for its higher fat content and delicate texture. Compared to other cuts, it is richer, more tender, and breaks into large, silky flakes. The olive oil complements the fish without overwhelming it.

Serve at room temperature with good potato chips and a few guindilla peppers. The contrast between the rich tuna and bright acidity works particularly well.
