D'Oro Icelandic Cod Liver

Cod liver is nothing like cod fillet. It's exceptionally rich, soft, and almost pâté-like, with a texture closer to foie gras than the flaky white fish most people associate with cod.

D'Oro uses wild-caught Icelandic cod liver and packs it in its own naturally rendered oil. There's no need to do much with it. A little acidity and something crisp or toasted are usually all it needs.

I like cod liver spread onto dark rye or toast with lemon, flaky salt, and thinly sliced onion.
